CAMPING, HELP ME!!!!!!!

Okay so I have good news and I have bad news. The good news is fashion week is only 29 days away (can't wait to see all the shows on style.com ). The bad news is I'm going camping which means I can't blog for two weeks and I'm probably going to get eaten by a bear and never come back alive.

Tom Ford for YSL Blouse

Annie's Tom Ford for YSL blouse

Yves Saint Laurent Fall 2002 Ready-to-Wear
On runway fall/winter 2002

Everyone remembers Annie, right? I did A Collette post a little while back featuring her. Anyway, I was in Collette the other day looking for some blog items when I spotted Annie's beautiful blouse. It's a Tom Ford for YSL pirate blouse. It's also a collector's item. I think it is very chic and perfect for any occasion whether it's work or a night out for dinner.

("Fabulous Frocks")

As you can see I've gotten 3 fabulous new fashion books filled with page after page of fashion history, style icons and of course very chic clothing and accessories. The first book shown is called "The Golden Age of Couture". It is about the couture clothing and accessories in Paris and London. I was stunned by the phenomenal clothes in this book from designers like Cristobal Balenciaga and Pierre Balmain. The second book called "Fabulous Frocks" (my favorite) is mostly about dresses throughout history, fashion icons and modern day runway shows. Last but not least, "Christan Lacroix on Fashion". This book is mostly pictures of beautiful clothes that have a timeline from around 1780-2007. The pictures and sets are fantastic. All of these books are amazing and I think anyone interested in fashion should own at least one of them. I would like to thank my very generous new friends who gave these books to me.

p.s The most time I've ever put into a post!

Takashi Murakami Poster

I was in Soho this tuesday and stumbled upon what I think is one of the best things to be sold on the streets of NYC. Takashi Murakami for Louis Vuitton posters! There where around 15 different prints to choose from. It was a hard decision but eventually I chose this one. Pandas are my favorite animals and I loved the vibrant colors (which look even more colorful in person). Takashi Murakami has collaborated with many other people and companies such as Kanye West and Mercedes and is well known for his anime style art.

P.S. More to come
