Bergdorf's Holiday Windows

Shhh.

All I want!

I was in the city this week and peeked behind the window covers to see the amazing windows. They've been revealed by now, so when I go to the city for the Thanksgiving Day Parade I'll be able to see them complete. For now I'll be working on my Christmas list. Happy Thanksgiving!

National No Bullying Week!

Army of one shirt designed by Johnny Weir.

This week is.... NATIONAL NO BULLYING WEEK! It's sad that shirts like this are necessary, but it's great that they exist (the shirts, not the bullies!).

You can purchase it now at t-rains. com

Lanvin for H & M

The accessories, the sunglasses, the mens shoes everything. It's all so stunning I need to get to H&M on November 20th. Who can I get to take me?! I also love the video. Odd, but fabulous. In my opinion Alber Elbaz is one of the most talented designers (don't judge a book by it's cover). The clothes he designs are so chic and amazing.

P.S For those of you who are wondering, I was a nerd for Halloween. Sorry no picture (my choice).

Happy Halloween

The most fabulous Chanel pumpkin EVER (if I do say so myself)!!!

Happy Halloween. I still haven't figured out what to be. I was thinking about being Johnny Weir, Lady GaGa, a nerd or Karl Lagerfeld, but please comment if you have any suggestions.

Lanvin Stick Pin

Lanvin stick pin

I took part in a photo shoot the other day and to show their appreciation, the producer gave me this beautiful Lanvin stick pin. It's even more stunning in real life and it's very detailed. I feel very lucky to have this beautiful pin and such generous people in my life.

Christian Dior Rasta Hat

Christian Dior Rasta hat from the 1970's.

I rented this hat from a vintage store in Bridgehampton called Out of the Closet for a photo shoot that I was asked to participate in. The store out of the closet is true vintage. It's like a big house and every room is jammed packed with designers like Gucci, Emillio Pucci, Hermes and Christian Dior. There are also all sorts of beautiful (non designer) clothes with a time line from the Victorian era all the way to the 80's. It's like a mish mash of lace fur and neon. Also Rachel Zoe has been known to pick up an item or two there.

Back to School

Valentino inspired me to buy this coat because he wore one just like it in the movie, "The Last Emperor".
Zara coat, Marc Jacobs scarf and Gap jeans.

Burberry trench shot.
Zara trench, 7 jeans and Marc Jacobs gloves.

Zara jacket, Zara sweater, Zara tie, Gap shirt and Gap jeans.

Zara jacket, Levi jeans, and Marc Jacob's hat.

I don't always enjoy going back to school, but I do like the shopping. As you can see my favorite places to shop are Zara and Marc Jacobs (inexpensive store of course). That's all very nice, but heres the fantasy:

I'm walking to school and there's a perfect breeze blowing my Louis Vuitton scarf back. The air is cool so I turn up the collar of my Burberry trench. My Chanel jeans swish as I walk and as I look down my eyes are pleased by the shine of my Lanvin sneakers. The strap of my Mullberry "Alexa" bag is reassuring. I check my hair in the reflection of the hardware on my green Birkin (school bag) then get mowed down by a school bus. Just kidding but don't I wish (not the getting run over part of course).

Magazine Collection

Am I a hoarder?

This is my famous magazine collection! I have so many magazines and they're just so hard to get rid of. The other day I bought the 2010 October edition of Vogue and realized that I still had the October 2009! I'm running out of shelf space but I just can't bare to part with these magazines.

Fashion's Night Out

Alexander Mqueen windows at Fashion's Night Out.

Givenchy platforms.

Marc Jacobs windows.

Bergdorf Goodman.

Singers, actors and artists performed all night in Bergdorf's windows.

This dancer spent the whole night dancing with and licking this Louis Vuitton bag. He sure seems to like Louis Vuitton.

On the way home I discovered the greatest magazine store in the world (on 23rd street)!

Fashion's Night Out was fantastic. I really loved to go to all stores. I went to the Meat Packing District and 5th Avenue. I'm really looking forward to next year and I would like to go to Madison Avenue.

Fashion Week

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center.

Reporting for Purple at Lincoln Center.

Me sitting front row at Christian Siriano.

End of show finale.

Reporting backstage.

Met this woman backstage. She designs sunglasses for Lady Gaga, Rhianna and Snoop Dog to name a few.

I went to the Christian Siriano's show (winner of Project Runway, also designed for Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood) at Lincoln Center for fashion week. I was being filmed for a possible tv series about my blog and I was lucky enough to sit FRONT ROW!!!!!!!! I thought the clothes were so chic (I couldn't find any pictures I could put on my blog but there is a link to style.com where you can see all the clothes above) my favorites were the last to outfits to come out. After the show I got to go back stage and meet Christian. He loved my bow tie! Also check out this justjared.buzznet.com.
Off to Fashion's Night Out tonight and Zac Posen show tomorrow for more reporting.

p.s. I love my life. All pic credits go to my mom.

San Francisco

San Francisco.

My hotel room at the Hotel Des Arts.

Torso Vintages.

Christian Lacroix dress.

There was the camping trip, but then there was also my two day trip to San Francisco. At the Hotel Des Arts they must have known I was coming. My wall's were plastered with dress patterns and portraits that resembled Japanese anime. I loved going into all the stores but there was one that really stood out. The store is called Torso vintages and is a resource for bloggers and designers around the country. Some of the clothes are very rare such as a Dior gown from the 1940's. There are also clothes worn in the movie Sex and the City 2. It was really fun visiting San Francisco. I think I would love to spend more time there in the future.

Fashion's Night Out + Vogue Dolls

Vogue dolls made for Fashion's Night Out.

I'm finally back and able to blog again. I forgot to mention that I was also going to sleep away camp right after California and needed a week to recooperate. Anyway, Fashion's Night Out is coming up and I really hope I can convince my Mom to take me. Even though I won't really be able to buy much, I can still look at all the beautiful fall clothes. There are also the Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington dolls made to celebrate Fashion's night out. Some of you may have seen the story in the New York Times Style section. They were made by artist Andrew Yang and are one of a kind. The dolls took two weeks to make, and the Grace Coddington doll has an actual perm! They are being auctioned off at charitybuzz.com to benefit NYC AIDS Fund.

CAMPING, HELP ME!!!!!!!

Okay so I have good news and I have bad news. The good news is fashion week is only 29 days away (can't wait to see all the shows on style.com ). The bad news is I'm going camping which means I can't blog for two weeks and I'm probably going to get eaten by a bear and never come back alive.

Tom Ford for YSL Blouse

Annie's Tom Ford for YSL blouse

Yves Saint Laurent Fall 2002 Ready-to-Wear
On runway fall/winter 2002

Everyone remembers Annie, right? I did A Collette post a little while back featuring her. Anyway, I was in Collette the other day looking for some blog items when I spotted Annie's beautiful blouse. It's a Tom Ford for YSL pirate blouse. It's also a collector's item. I think it is very chic and perfect for any occasion whether it's work or a night out for dinner.
